What are you doing now related to design? Interning? Work? Freelance? Personal Projects? Give details.
I am an aspiring Interaction Design (IxD) professional with a myriad of experience including graphic design, spacial design, photography, projection mapping, user interface, branding, and packaging design. While I complete the IxD program at SMC, I have been building my client list for both my professional and personal passions. Although I stay busy managing archival footage for Sacred Bull Media, designing chalkboard art for CorePower Yoga, working with Karyn Sundin Interior Design, and completing graphic design contracts, I’m actively searching for intern and apprenticeship opportunities in design with creative agencies.
What do you want to do after you earn your degree? Be specific.
I want to blend [graphic] design, branding, projection mapping, environments [interior design], and photography into one incredible opportunity. I want to work within a creative design team. I don't mind if the company is large or small. I hope that the company is socially conscious and works toward the betterment of the world.
What's your dream job?
My dream job as a kid was to be an astronaut. Then I wanted to be a photojournalist with National Geographic. Now, I want to be a Product Designer. I'd love to work freelance and travel the world. The dream job – maybe NASA, maybe National Geographic, maybe Northrop Grumman Corp., but teamLab, yes!
What is your 5-year career plan?
After graduation, I will cast a worldwide net of job applications. I specifically want to be in Japan though. I want to work on a creative team to hone my design craft within a medium-sized company.
Any idea what your 10-year career plan is? Write more about it.
If Earth doesn't implode within ten years, I would like to start a creative collective with friends and colleagues.
